Please, please review our Health and Safety Guidelines prior to registering for a demo class.
We are committed to doing our best to mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19. In addition, all Tenn Little Birds teachers have their COVID-19 vaccination.
Before you leave home: Please do a quick self-assessment and stay home if you or anyone living in your home is showing any one of these symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, other respiratory symptoms, or any two of these symptoms: chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell. In addition, please stay home and schedule a makeup class if you or anyone you’ve been in close contact with has been exposed to COVID-19.
Wash your hands before and after class!
Notify director Allison Link at 615-358-8544 if you or anyone in your immediate family has been diagnosed with Covid-19.
Outdoor Class Details:
- Masks are optional in outdoor classes. We continue to be committed to running classes that are inclusive and safe for all. We want to recognize everyone's comfort levels and want everyone to feel safe and cared for. So, we ask that you bring a mask and that you put it on if the person you are near is wearing one. We also ask that you're mindful of your child(ren) being in close proximity to others. If the other person/family is okay with your children being in close proximity, that's great. But please get consent first. We reserve the right to change this policy if circumstances deem it necessary.
- Families will be provided with a designated instrument kit which will be sanitized and available for them in class each week.
- What to bring: The only thing we’ll share is our love for making Music Together®! Please pack a blanket for your family to sit on. This will also provide a clear visual boundary for maintaining distance. You will also want sunscreen and water bottles.
- Setting up and enjoying class time: Please bring your own blanket to provide a visual barrier and plan to set up your space a minimum of 6 ft. apart from the next family. Toddlers will naturally want to move around, so we ask all grownups to help us lovingly redirect their own children back to their spot should they begin to get too close to another family. That said if you have consent from a family that they are ok with your child(ren) being in close proximity, that's great. But please get consent first.
- Masks are required to use the bathroom indoors at Eastwood. It is required to have a mask on while using the indoor facilities at Eastwood Christian Church. Please help us follow these guidelines and keep our community safe!
- Weather: If we have to cancel due to weather, we will email/text you ASAP to let you know that class is canceled. We will do our best to alert you via email/text with as much notice as possible but, if you ever have any questions as to whether class is canceled or not, please don't hesitate to text 615-358-8544 at any time. When your demo class is canceled due to weather, we work with you to reschedule.
Indoor Class Details - ALL indoor classes are "Vaccinated Only (adults)"
- Mask Requirement: Masks are required for all adults in indoor classes until further notice. For indoor classes, all participants ages 3 and up regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask for class. If your child is unable to consistently wear a mask, please choose one of our outdoor learning options. For in-person outdoor classes, masks are STRONGLY advised for ages 3 and up, but will not be mandated unless current state mask mandates change. All of our teachers are vaccinated for Covid-19 and will be masked for in-person indoor classes. If you have an infant, it is very important for them to see your face. We recommend a clear, transparent face mask.
- You and your child will get your temperature taken upon arrival, for indoor classes.
- Increased ventilation. We will have the windows open for class and have extra time in between classes to allow for air exchange in the classroom.
- Families will be provided with a designated instrument kit which will be sanitized and available for them in class each week.
- Proof of Vaccination: All participating adults must be willing to present proof of full vaccination for Covid-19 in order to attend in-person classes. If you are not vaccinated or do not wish to share proof of vaccination, we invite you to choose one of our outdoor class options.
- Classes are 45 minutes.
Covid-19 Quarantine Procedures (FYI for demo families):
- Should your child or any household member be exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you immediately and confidentially share that information with Allison Link, TLB Director, at [email protected].
- If your child has been exposed to someone with a COVID-19 diagnosis, we ask that they stay home for 5 to 7 days and then test negative for COVID-19. We will follow the CDC definition of “close contact” – contact with an active case within 6 feet for at least 10 minutes.
- If your child tests positive for COVID-19, we will follow CDC guidelines on returning to music class. Your child cannot return until 14 days from the onset of symptoms and until they are fever/symptom-free for 72 hours.
- If a positive case among TLB Staff, classes will be notified, and a substitute teacher will be provided, or make-up classes will be scheduled.
